Our Curriculum

At Longford Church of England Primary School, we passionately believe that our children have the right to a broad and balanced curriculum. The 'Wonderful' curriculum of the school underpins all the learning that takes place and an engaging and inspirational curriculum can foster curiosity and a passion for learning so that children may develop into life-long learners. At the start of each unit the children and staff develop a set of questions which make them 'Wonder' and these are displayed on the term's 'Wonder Wall'. These questions link through all the curriculum subjects and have a main theme which is determined by the chosen text for the term. As these questions are investigated, the children's learning about each 'Wonder' question is recorded in a learning journey on the 'Wonder Wall'.

Each year the school holds transition meetings for parents as their child moves to a new year group. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to find out more about the curriculum to be studied that year.
